Who I am
Paul Meisel
I am a career financial manager with over 40 years industrial experience. My strengths include financial reporting, analysis of costs and efficiency, and sound accounting and controls. My education includes an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University and a BS from Heidelberg University. I've been married to Becky for over 40 years and we are blessed with 3 children and 5 grandchildren. Becky and I and our children all went to Vermilion High School.

WHY I'M RUNNING
IT'S TIME FOR A CHANGE
We've had one party, and only a few people, in power in Erie County for a long time -- 3, 4, and 5.term incubents. That leads to institutional inbreeding and tunnel vision. One way to do things, little open discussion, lack of transparency. As principal financial advisor to the commisioners and the operating department heads, I want to open up the process to full view -- not a rubber stamp for the commisioners but an engaged adviser with insight and alternatives.
